Orchard Room
Figs at the window in August. Quinces in October. Quiet all year.
The smallest room in the house and, for a good number of people, the best. The window opens straight onto the orchard: figs, oranges, lemons, pomegranates, two quince trees and an almond that flowers in February and makes it look as though it has snowed.
The beds are singles and push together, depending on who is coming.
Eat what is ripe
The orchard is not locked. If it looks good, pick it, we say this every time and there is always someone who does not believe us. In August that means figs at breakfast every day. In January, oranges.

What is in the room
House rules
- Dogs are welcome, on a lead by the chickens and the donkeys, and not on the beds.
- The pool is unattended. Children always with an adult. The pond is not for swimming.
- The workshop is a courtesy, not a licensed garage. Closed shoes. Children only with an adult.
- The last 2.8 km are a dirt track. Go slowly after rain; there are cattle and potholes.
- Check-in 15:00–20:00. Later is fine if you tell us. Check-out by 11:00.
- Fire only where we agree, and never 1 June–30 September, as the law requires.
